What are spreads and why do they exist?
Most brokers’ business model is to brokerage the difference between the BUY and SELL price of the asset. The pricing difference between these two is called a ‘spread’.
There’s no need for extra calculation: The price you see quoted in your deal ticket includes this spread, so there are no hidden fees.
Why are low spreads important for traders?
Low spreads mean you spend less to open a trade, which especially helps short-term strategies. When spreads are tight, the market doesn’t have to move as far in your favor for your position to become profitable.
Are there overnight fees or swap charges?
Yes, like most CFD brokers, we charge overnight financing fees (also known as swap charges) if a position is held open overnight.
You are either charged or credited, depending on the asset and the direction. For example, a BUY USD/JPY deal credits the holder each night.
These pricings are clearly shown in the platform before you place your trade and depend on the asset and deal size.
How can I view the exact spread for an instrument?
